In the beginning in Antarctica, whales had feet and ate everything on ice. As whales eat 8,000 pounds of food daily, the penguins disappeared. Maker, usually good at figuring species survival, realized he’d made an error – a whale with feet. Also, because girl whales can’t mate while laughing, the whale population dropped. Maker solved the problem: whales gained flippers, baby whales appeared and penguins returned to the glaciers of Antarctica.
