Captain Max was born on January 29, 1920 in this very lighthouse. His parents operated the lighthouse and this is where he grew up, never having gone ashore. After they passed away, he spent decades traveling the world, having one astonishing adventure after another. But, as he aged, he found himself heading home, where he remains. Home is where the heart is.
