Happy Trails Cowgirl + Sheriff Erik
The original Happy Trails Cowgirl was Dale Evans, singer, actress and songwriter of “Happy Trails.” After three failed marriages Dale dreamed about her perfect man, an ethical cowboy who cherished children. She named him Erik and began searching. Dale became a screen actress at Republic Studios, meeting and marrying her ideal man in 1946. They raised 9 children and were together for the next sixty years. However, his name was not Erik. It was Roy Rogers!
