Sheriff Erik + Thunder Horse + Cowboy Dillon + Rocky Horsey

This group celebrates the American cowboy. In England, before the year 1000, “cowherd,” referred to boys. “Cowboy” was first used in a 1725 book written by Jonathan Swift. Once these fellows jumped on a horse, “cowboy” no longer described a boy. What really distinguished modern herders was the cowboy hat, first designed in 1865 by John B. Stetson These hats are still sold today and, while my husband is a fake cowboy, he has a real Stetson!
