In the 1930s, Jake P. worked 18 hours a day supporting his wife and kids. While he toiled, she looked for a way out. His family left with a traveling salesman to places unknown. Heartbroken, Jake kept working at the job he loved. Years passed. At a police graduation, Jake noticed a recruit named Paxton who looked remarkably like his son, also named Paxton. Turned out, Paxton was his grandson. The two cops stayed close for the rest of Jake’s happy life.
