Goldy Sailor Boy + Uncle Sam
Goldy’s heritage was all Navy. From the founding of the U.S. Navy in 1775, there was always a Gold Naval Officer. Goldy respected his ancestors’ achievements but no matter what meds he took, on a boat Goldy got blindingly seasick. One night at a Navy recruitment party Goldy approached “Uncle Sam” and asked for advice. Sam said, “Stay on land but teach sailors how to swim. It will be a great gift to the Navy!” And that’s what Goldy did, saving many, many lives.
