Goosey was a disagreeable goose, as most are. She stayed out of the barnyard, sitting alone on a mossy log. One day a lost kitty wandered into her space. Goo shrieked, spit and flapped her wings. Erica paid no attention. Instead, she opened a book and began to read “The Goose that Laid the Golden Egg.” Goo was transfixed. As long as Erica read that story to her every night, Goo was a happy goose. She and Erica became life-long friends.
