Harold was the only child of middle-aged parents who were Communists. They loved the U.S. but believed in universal health care, etc. When Harold misbehaved, his dad said, “Uncle Sam’s gonna get you!” Harold grew up terrified of this unseen uncle; only his pet rabbits comforted him. At college, Harold learned who Uncle Sam was and became devoted to him and his ideals. He joined the military, devoting his life to his country while still raising rabbits!
