For two years Champ lived the good life – taking long walks, chasing balls, swimming in the lake, warming up by the fire and devouring delicious meals prepared by his loving owner, the old man. But all that changed when the old man died and Champ was put in a concrete hell of a shelter. No exercise, no affection, no hot meals. Two families tried Champ but he was too needy and talkative. Inside, he was explaining what his previous life had been. But all anybody heard was growling. Finally a lonely young man looked into Champ’s eyes and saw the prize that he was. The two have been inseparable ever since and the only change for Champ has been on his daily outings, he runs, not walks.
