Charity’s mother married for money, not love. She gave birth to Charity as a gift for her husband, but never related to the child again. Charity’s dad tried to make his daughter happy, but nothing replaced the lack of maternal love. After her parents’ death, Charity gave her wealth to help orphans find families. And how did she spend her days? Charity traveled all over London, giving out free balloons to poor children.
