Isn’t she lovely? The reason this dear old lady is called Santa’s First Wife is because Santa Claus is eternal so, through the centuries, he’s had many, many wives. We celebrate his first wife because she’s the one who gave birth to dozens of elves. Sadly, we don’t know her name because she is from the era when women were just Mrs. Whomever.
